BBC - OSCE details atrocities in Kosovo

A major new report has highlighted what it says is widespread persecution of the Serbian community in Kosovo, since the end of the NATO air campaign in June.

The report, compiled by the Organisation for Security and Co-operation In Europe OSCE says that many of those involved in attacks on Serbs appear to have been members of the Kosovo Liberation Army, the KLA.

A BBC correspondent in Kosovo says the leadership of the KLA's successor organisation the Kosovo Protection Core is likely to come under further pressure from foreign governments to speak out against the climate of intolerance and revenge.

The OSCE report also produces a grim catalogue of atrocities by the Serbian forces earlier in the year.

It says the expulsion of the Albanian population from Kosovo was systematic and planned.
