BUDAPEST, Nov 22, 1999 -- (AFP) Hungary will provide Slovak electricity to Serbia from Monday, a manager of the Hungarian Electricity company (MVM) Karoly Gerse announced Friday.
Hungarian electricity is not sold to Serbia because the two countries have not signed the contracts and made payment guarantees, Gerse added.
The exact quantity and price of the Hungarian electricity to be sold to Serbia have not been published. Serbia can import electricity from Western countries and Slovakia only through Hungary as it has no other foreign electricity connections.
