Chernomyrdin to visit Kosovo

MOSCOW, December 8 (Itar-Tass) - Viktor Chernomyrdin, the former envoy of the Russian president for the Yugoslav settlement, told a news conference in Moscow on Wednesday that he wishes to visit Kosovo.

Chernomyrdin expresses displeasure with the situation that formed in the territory after the NATO operation. "Almost all Serbs have left Kosovo and refugees are not returning," he said.

Chernomyrdin who directly participated in the Balkan settlement believes that leaders of Western countries should give special attention to problems of refugees return and granting of financial aid to the Kosovo territory.
